Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas for Mum

What we now celebrate as Mother’s Day, a time for buying gifts for mum and treating her for the day, has its origins in ancient times.  In Ancient Greece and Rome the Goddesses of Isis and Gaia were worshipped as the Mother of the Gods and then early Christians celebrated their Mother Church.  In the seventeenth century this day was broadened to embrace real mothers and the name Mothering Sunday came about.

Mother’s Day always falls during Lent and in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries this was a day when families were permitted to break the fasting of Lent, and workers were allowed to spend the day with their families.

Today, Mother’s Day is all about showing your mum just how much she means to you – buying her a Mother’s Day gift and a card, and spoiling her for the day (I hope my husband and children are reading and paying attention – gifts for mum is important!).

This year Mother’s Day is on March 22nd (or May 10th if you’re in the US) – write it down NOW and then let us help you find some beautiful gifts for mum.

How do you say to someone who needs help?

My little brother was homeless for a year. He is 22, never had a girlfriend and was fired from his previous two jobs in the natural foods industry. He can be so sweet and caring at times and then incredibly volatile if insulting your Egola. Despite living in their van out of food stamps, he still believes he has all the answers. I'm going home for Christmas and I really want him to get help, be with my parents and get off drugs (idk if it's just pot or something heavier). They have agreed to send him to rehab, a yoga retreat or literally any type of training they want. Do you think I should ask him? Offering an ultimatum like, "I never come looking for you in town again" or what? I do not know how to say without getting mad and shutting him out! Guys please, I did not leave my own brother. There should be no such ultimatum. Now I see that it is the right way. And when I say "help" I mean substance abuse counseling, do not bring your own shit on this.

First not threaten him. Wait at least a day before even bringing up the subject they need help. Wait for him to feel comfortable and talk about what your parents are willing to help you get your act together. Begging is not a good idea either. Try just stating the facts. Tell it means for you and your parents love and want to best for him. If he has a problem that probably knows. If it becomes to help the first time I wait a few days before bringing it back. You can not live your life by him and not be compelled to do the right thing. Not desert him because one day he will come for help and wants to be there when it happens that day.

Another classic mistake that should be added to the list. And I'm sure there would Vizzini, adding that he and defenses silly your district that oink. I'm not in the mood for it.

In the AP-12 is preparing for a special election to fill the remainder Political intrigue about how the middle class, the poor and the elderly may pay the tax on gasoline, food and medicine. At the end you're left with the impression that Tim Burns wants Grandma put under his boot and crush it.

But then again, this is AFSCME are talking about here. I think we've seen this trick before. and then call back later, it is not practical. I guess this is because they simply could not speak intelligently enough about the topic and just decided one precipitate withdrawal.

So what is the FairTax? Buy a used car and you pay no sales tax. The FairTax does not impose The FairTax also does not want anything but AFSCME District 12 voters of Pennsylvania know because, well, it really hurt their chances of slandering Tim Burns 23% to just roll up in the final cost of products and services you buy anyway, and takes about 19% to 30% of the cost you pay for goods bank of your check each payday withdrew.

Oh, and just in case you're worried about what will happen to the people who depend on and maintain these programs. In fact, keep all these little fiefdoms of power over people in Food Stamps for Medicaid. Yes, that's another problem I have with the FairTax too, but maintains the socialist nanny state rolling along on the right.

For more information on the FairTax can visit Asia. Well, you really expect the truth of a group of people who have made their lives outside of government subsidy?

So then I would telling the truth right? The fact is that many people have a personal interest in a complicated code, and easily manipulate arcane tax as we have now and anything that threatens to simplify the system should be lied about and knocked down by any means necessary.

And let's even more brutally honest. AFSCME travel of the SEIU will visit shortly to beat sense into you. Literally!

De-Clutter And Organize Effectively

Clutter is most likely months or years worth of stuff that piled up around your house, so don’t expect that you can de-clutter everything in a day. What you can do is set a certain amount of time each day to devote to de-cluttering. Take three boxes for three kinds of things that you get to pick up: Give away, throw away, and put away. You can use your garbage bin, or a garbage bag, for your throw aways.

Choose a room and start you de-cluttering there. De-cluttering is synonymous with organization, so let’s clean in an organized way. Move clockwise from the door, cleaning as you go. No spot should be skipped. Once you come across your items, it can get difficult deciding which ones will remain, will be thrown away, and will be given away. Ask yourself some questions about that item. How do you feel about that item? Do you actually need it or do you simply like it? Are you emotionally attached to that item? Does that item make you happy? Guilt is a common feeling when we’re talking about putting items away, but it’s not really a good reason to keep it around. Ask more questions such as if you’ve made something useful out of that item for the whole year. Is it in good condition? Maybe you have another item you could replace that item with? These questions would help you in getting to a decision. If your giveaway box is full, give it away. Either that or you can put them up on eBay, CraigsList, or a garage sale.

You’ll see how many items are out of place when you look at your “put away” box. Just like what you did with your giveaway box, put the items away when it is full. Don’t put the box somewhere you can’t see with the intention of dealing with it later. Putting them in the basement or attic will only make your remember you had that box when you’re on your “de-cluttering the attic/basement” day.

Shelves, drawers, and furniture should not be overlooked during the de-cluttering session. Organizing the room after cleaning as you go is a good idea. When you see a desk, organize whatever is inside the drawers. Pens, envelopes, and stamps should be in their proper places. If you find any documents, deal with them accordingly. Compile those you might need. Older and expired documents can be thrown away, while other financial documents can be stored somewhere else in your home.

De-cluttering can be a big task, but don’t be overwhelmed by it.  You’re trying to de-clutter your whole house here, so just be diligent. Clean as you move from are to area – carry a rag. Once you’ve de-cluttered your house, feel free to organize everything and redecorate!

deer stamping
UK Animal Cruelty Question ….? In the news today …?

Anyone read about the two teenagers that found a two week old bambi deer and through it on the ground and proceeded to stamp on it until it was dead? They ran away laughing according to an eye witness ( who was too scared to approach ). Apparently the mother deer was elsewhere looking for food and the bambi was too young to realise any danger. What possesses the youth of today to do something as cold and calculating like this? Is this a true reflection of evil in the hearts of youth today? Frankly I hope they both rot in hell as any penalty they may receive ( if they are caught ) would probably not exceed a slap on the wrist. Your views please …..
Apologies ‘threw’ it on the ground!
lala … here’s the link .. in today’s Daily Mirror

http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/06/13/hoodies-kill-bambi-115875-21436959/

This is really disgusting behavior, and will probably lead to further criminal and violent behavior towards humans. Apparently, their parents are not doing their job. I hope they get caught and have to pay for what they did. Karma.

All About Hunting Guides

A qualified professional hunting guide may be the choice option for the urban hunter with little time to scout and investigate hunting prospects. When attempting to hunt unfamiliar territory, a guide can make the difference between a good and a bad hunt. Unless you have thorough knowledge of the land you wish to hunt, you might spend unfruitful days in the bush without the help of a guide. Another name for a guide might be a “scout.”

A guide can keep you out of trouble. He can limit frustrations and save you time. A guide can help with retrieving, gutting, and caping trophies. The guide can accurately predict the packing and preparation needs of the hunter, thereby eliminating the need to purchase or pack certain items. He will tell you what you should bring and what will be furnished, what is available locally and what is not.

Most hunters balk at the thought of “pay hunting” and feel no need for someone else to help them with a hunt. These hunters generally think that such setups are for “tin horns” or the corporate executive class. The price of a guide service may appear large at first, but after examining the whole spectrum of things you may find that a guide will even save you money in the long run. It is often the case that a hunter would have come out better if he had hired a guide.

Personal recommendations from other hunters who have used the guide or guide service are the most often used leads.

It is a good idea to do a thorough job of investigating a game ranch or guide service located through a magazine ad before making the leap of employing them. Ask for references, preferably from your area. Get several of them and check each one. The time spent here is worthwhile. In writing to request references, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope and be courteous. If telephoning for a reference, then do so at an appropriate time of day. References should be current. They should be references to hunts the year before and not several years ago. The clients which you locate might pass on pertinent information to you concerning your guide such as that you should pack a can opener because the excellent guide always forgets his.

Any guide worth his oats will guarantee a shot. Other guide services and game ranches charge a set fee to hunt and extra for a kill.

A few phone calls or e-mails prior to the hunting scheduled with a guide could get you in with a hunting partner, not just a guide. It helps to break the ice and form a friendship before the hunt.

If contracting the services of a professional guide service or game ranch is not in the cards for you yet you need the help such an outfit would provide, then you have other options.

Ask a successful hunter of your acquaintance for his assistance in guiding you. Most hunters will enthusiastically help you get your first deer. They remember their first deer and really want to enjoy the experience again through you. Offer to pay for the hunt if they are willing to take you along, and at the very least, split the cost of the gasoline.

Some backwoods types would consider it the opportunity of a lifetime to receive a hundred dollars for leading you to a deer they are familiar with. Paying someone to help locate a nice deer for you does not mean that they will bring it to you on a leash. There will still be plenty of sport involved matching wits with the wily whitetail.

PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS

Deer hunting is a sport open to the young, the old, and the handicapped. There is a way for almost every person who desires to hunt deer to do so. Deer hunting is one of the most widely accessible sports.

The blind can participate to a remarkable degree by going with a companion to a hunt and experiencing all but the actual shooting. Many blind people become adept shooters by learning to compensate for their sight loss by increasing their hearing perception. Their marksmanship is usually limited to gun ranges where little bells are attached to targets and pulled by strings. Some blind hunters, with the aid of an assistant with eyesight for obvious safety reasons, may actually take deer.

The wheelchair-bound hunter has an advantage over most hunters in that he will not be able to yield to the itch to get up and walk around when his patience runs thin. Although wheelchairs are not practical for the roughest terrains, the majority of hunting areas are to some degree accessible to them. One of my acquaintances who is without the use of his legs manages to take his deer each season from an adapted ATV.

Determined individuals often overcome physical limitations through improvisation. Their hunting techniques may be creative and grandly satisfying responses to their handicaps. Such hunters are granted special privileges by law-enforcement agencies to allow for their differences and encourage their participation in the sport. Physical limitations might suggest that a person should hunt close to a roadway and not attempt to track or retrieve a deer without assistance. Taking part in drives and risking becoming lost by walking deep into the woods should be avoided.

Hunting with an able-bodied companion may be a must. The companion should be aware of specific physical limitations and of any first aid he might be required to administer.

It is important to consider physical limitations in planning the hunt. Access to the hunting area, the type of stand, the selection of a companion, weapon type, and other matters should be scrutinized in advance.

There are far too many instances of heart attacks in the deer woods.

If you are under medical supervision and using a prescription medicine, be sure not to forget it in the excitement. Not only could forgetting it cause medical problems, but having to go home to get it could foil your hunt.

Where there is a will there is a way for the handicapped who wish to hunt whitetail deer. Disadvantaged hunters derive greater satisfaction from their efforts.

Understanding How Professionals Print Greeting Cards

Do you want to understand how professionals print greeting cards? Want to know how they can make their greeting card printing look so great and well “professional”? If you do, then you have come to the right place, because I will help you understand how professionals do their greeting card printing. Do not worry, understanding their process is not really hard. There are just a few things they focus upon to make their color greeting cards almost perfect.

•Using the proper greeting card material – One of the initial things that professionals focus on when printing greeting cards is the choice of material. You may not know it, but the paper material itself can determine a lot about the look of color greeting cards. If you use the thin and cheap greeting card material, then your cards will look cheap. Using expensive materials on the other hand, can always be a good investment, making the greeting card look nicer.

Most professionals use thick greeting card material with glossy coatings to make the card look more impressive. What’s more, these materials actually help in improving the durability of the custom greeting cards, making them look new and fresh for a very long time. So, if you want your greeting cards to really look like a professional’s you should always think about using the proper materials.

•Employing great use of special inks – Professionals can also be picky about the inks in their greeting card. That is right, besides the common four color printing process that delivers full color greeting cards, there are also special inks out there that can make a greeting card extra special.

For example, you should know that there are special glossy inks out there that make the printed material on greeting cards look extra special. If you want that design element to shine or glitter, then you should try those glossy inks. It will add that reflective element to custom greeting cards, making them look like they were made of something else. This can really deliver those special greeting card designs that need that extra “oomph”.

•Adding extra special elements – Some professionals also go all the way with their designs and use very special elements in greeting cards. Embossing, special folding, extra pages and pockets are all a few examples of these elements. Professionals use these extra elements to add space, dimension and creativity to greeting cards that make them more memorable. There is more to greeting cards than just folding a piece of cardboard you know. With those special elements, your greeting card can really look special, and the greeting can be all the more memorable. So if it is possible with your greeting card printing company, why don’t you add those few extra special elements?

•Printing using the best printers – Finally, professionals print greeting cards only through the best printers. When they print greeting cards themselves, they usually use the best printing machines on the market. However, for mass production of greeting cards most pros hire online greeting card printing companies instead for that more professional touch. These online greeting card printers do have the proper machines and materials to mass produce any kind of greeting card that you can think of. So if you want to produce special greeting cards like the professionals, I recommend that you also hire an online greeting card printer.

Great! Hopefully now you understand how professionals print their greeting cards. By just follow the things they do in greeting card printing, you also can easily turn yourself into a professional and produce great looking color greeting cards of your own. Try it out!
