Are actually Sparkly when they are heated up? And if not does anyone have any suggestions on which make to buy if i want a really sparkly/glittery effect? Im new to crafting so trying to find out whats what.

I have taken normal black embossing powder- added in a little ultra fine silver glitter and heated it-turn out great. So it you have any embossing powder at home and ultra fine glitter-try mixing a bit in a cup. You should be able to find ultra fine glitter at Michael’s or JoAnn’s or Hobby Lobby. Wal Mart sometimes carries it too
I have Ranger brand embossing tinsel. It is white embossing powder and silver glitter mixed. works great. Ranger is a good brand of embossing powder.
For ink pads- You can buy Versa Mark clear. You stamp it and pour any color embossing powder on top. You do not need a black ink pad for black embossing powder
